Recent scientific breakthroughs have led to simple, safe, effective, and faster cures for drug-resistant Tuberculosis (DR-TB) that are now recommended by the World Health Organization as the new standard of care. These six-month cures reduce the length of treatment by a year or more and the number of pills needed to treat DR-TB by 95%. Unfortunately, many people with DR-TB around the world are still unable to access them.

In support of the World Health Organization’s Call to Action to accelerate access to shorter DR-TB cures for all, the Fast Track the Cure movement brings communities around the world together to raise awareness and facilitate access to new DR-TB treatments, while ramping up advocacy to tell world leaders that six-month DR-TB cures must be widely adopted and available to all who need them. Fast Track the Cure is also collaborating closely with Stop TB to ensure strategic alignment and partnership. with the Challenge Facility for Civil Society movement, by aligning with their community engagement, capacity building and demand creation pillars and focus.

We are on a mission to:

Overcome barriers to accessing TB services and advance human rights by raising awareness of new and effective DR-TB treatments.

Strengthen the voice of TB-affected communities and civil society in national and global dialogues by increasing their demand for new and better DR-TB regimens.

Equip and empower TB-affected communities and civil society to engage in the DR-TB treatment response, create opportunities for connection, and, ultimately, save lives.

Take Action!

Help ensure shorter, people-friendly, more effective TB cures reach all those around the world who need them.
